A driving, haunting melody kept main Morgendust songwriter Marco up at night, as well as the memory of days gone by… An eighties anthem with driving drums and haunting ‘Stranger Things’ synths and guitar lines as a result; 1982 tells the story of a childhood friend who suddenly disappears, set in a background of global and national issues of that time, some still topical to this day.

Lyrics 1982

I saw ET riding on a flying bike
Star Wars fought out in the sky
Demonstrations in the capital
to save the woods, houses free for all

My brother crawling in the living room
I’m just getting used to the neighborhood
While Reagan won the first Cold War
I played the cd and the commodore

With you
In 1982

Time changes everything and everything changes time
Time changes everything and everything changes
Everything changes
Everything changes

I saw the Falklands burn at night
The Lebanon in a constant fight
We rocked the Kasbah all day long
Never knew that day would come

For you
In 1982

Time changes everything and everything changes time
Time changes everything and everything changes
Everything changes
Everything changes

For you
